About

Hi, I’m Manuel Infante

I’m a University of Miami alumni with a degree in Exercise Physiology. I created this website to help people find the resources they need.

Early on

Being born and raised in Colombia I saw the challenges that underserved and developing urban communities face when accessing quality care and how that further drives the wedge between living a long healthy life and suffering from chronic illnesses.

I realized that being a great provider entails having a depth of knowledge regarding diseases and also being cognizant of how to treat patients from different backgrounds. The foundations of compassion, inclusion, and equity that I saw providers demonstrate to patients and the people around them have been a driving force as to why I’m pursuing becoming a physician assistant.

Current

The tools people learn at a young age can dramatically impact their life. It is important to first develop skills to overcome adversity in order to adequately adapt to challenges life might throw at you. A lot of opportunities are not utilized because people simply are not aware they exist. By bridging the information gap and giving people the tools they need, I hope to make it easier for people facing barriers to healthcare.

I created a website called Equal Learning for All (ELA) to assist people facing socio-economic challenges to access free and convenient care, such as: top-rated clinics, mental health services, social workers, dentists, and follow-up fee assistance programs. I added an option to change the language of the website to Spanish, Portuguese, Creole, and other common languages people in my community speak.

I have been working as a Medical Assistant and scribe. Helping people in the healthcare field has completely changed my life. I absolutely love what I do, and I see how important it is to make sure a patient feels comfortable, heard, and acknowledged. My dream is to empower and educate people as I learn how to heal them.
